Tobey is a patent agent registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. She provides clients with patent preparation and prosecution services as well as patentability analyses. Tobey has addressed technologies in fields that include biotechnology, pharmaceutical, pharmacology, medical devices and diagnostics. Having completed post-doctoral studies at the San Diego Supercomputer Center, Tobey also addresses intellectual property in the fields of bioinformatics and information technologies.
Tobey has been working in the field of intellectual property since 2001 and has been a registered patent agent since 2003. Prior to joining the firm, she was a senior patent agent at a local biotechnology company and worked for international law firms.
